I'm really enjoying Lifetime's new take on the Project Runway franchise - Under the Gunn. We're treated to Tim Gunn's always unique attitude as well as an intense amount of hemming and hawing from some of Project Runway's former winners as they try to mentor a new "generation" of designers.
Episode seven hit our screens this week. It was aptly titled "Steampunk Chic". If that's not geeky enough for you, less than five minutes in Tim instructs the designers to "think about Doctor Who" in order to get them to consider a "time traveling" design aesthetic.
Is Tim Gunn a closeted fan of the series? It would be a nice surprise if this were true. The mention is even weirder if you hear it in context. He mentions no other sci-fi TV shows, but just makes generalizations to help the designers understand the meaning behind steampunk.

Bonus: A few of the designers you've been rooting for get outed as geeks (as you always suspected they were), and one just doesn't quite understand what steampunk is...
